This SoClution from DataTech S.D.A. [1] (pair of SoClutions) provides a mechanism to implement a secure UART to UART extender on a chip (pair of chips).

Security means Robustness. This unique SoClu tion makes use of LAPB protocol over RS485 lines to guarantee a successfull noise tolerant commu- nication.

Security means Encryption. This unique SoClution makes use of Elliptic Curves Cryptography (ECC) algorithmic to handle negotiation and authentication and Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) algorithmic to handle encryption. (Also transparent flavours available).
